Christchurch earthquake
The Exhibition and Events Association New Zealand would like to express its deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy for the citizens of Christchurch directly affected by the earthquake of Tuesday 22 February 2011. The New Zealand event industry is small and close-knit so many of us know people who have been caught up in this tragic event. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and the wider community of Christchurch at this terrible time. Christchurch is extremely significant in terms of venues and event management services in New Zealand so we would also like to encourage the events industry as a whole to rally around their Cantabrian colleagues to help bring about a speedy recovery from this crisis.
Survey pinpoints industry optimism
New Zealand members of the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) are overwhelmingly positive about the year ahead – though many of them still rate factors such as business confidence and the general economy as major challenges
